The Unscripted Hotel Durham was created with ambitious beginnings: In the 1960s, it was designed and constructed to cater to the ever-growing automobile industry on the East Coast. It featured a unique sky bridge connected to additional lodging across the street.

A boutique hotel fit for rock stars and jetsetters, Unscripted Hotel Durham is a celebratory hub of creativity, with a rooftop pool as its irresistible centerpiece. Austin Lawrence Partners redeveloped this existing space, transforming its original, mid-century architecture into a destination that both stands out and fits in within downtown Durham’s humming verve.
