The Park Plaza Shopping Center was an underperforming center in Los Angeles. Austin Lawrence Partners brought it back to life with a total exterior renovation, additional retail square footage, new management, marketing, and remerchandising. Entire exterior renovation of the existing 250,000 square feet included storefront windows, signage, landscaping, parking-lot reconfiguration, and common-area amenities such as storage, trash, and delivery ramps/access. Thousands of additional square feet were constructed to house large chains such as McDonald’s, TCBY, Music Plus, and Petco, among others.

Following renovation, the Sav-On Drugs store ranked as #2 amongst the entire Southern California chain, and Vons, a grocery chain, ranked #5 in the entire Southern California chain. The project was awarded commendation from the Mayor of the City of Los Angeles.
